Four days have passed since the release of Resident Evil Village, and  Capcom is already reporting the first print runs. Everything is fine with them: in total, on all platforms (it seems, except for Stadia), the game surpassed the bar of 3 million copies.

Resident Evil Village is also very well performed at the physical media market in the United Kingdom :

  • Second most popular release of the year (after Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury).
  • Third most popular release on PS5 (only Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales and  Assassin's Creed Valhalla were better ).
  • In the first days of sales, Village became the seventh in total physical circulation on the PS5.
  • Second most popular release on the Xbox Series (after Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War ).
  • Third in total physical circulation on the Xbox Series (after Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War and  Immortals Fenyx Rising ).

The Resident Evil Village launch in the UK is inferior to the launch of Resident Evil 2 Remake and  Resident Evil 7, but this may be due to the peculiarities of the study: this analytics takes into account only disk copies. Disk copies are already losing ground over time, and in the last year, physical publications have been sagging even more due to the pandemic.
