"This is not our game." The authors of The Sinking City advise against buying a horror movie on Steam
Ukrainian studio Frogwares continues to fight with publisher Nacon.
Ukrainian studio Frogwares continues to showdown with Nacon, which has been a developer's partner for very long and helped publish games. On February 26, The Sinking City appeared on Steam, which was previously removed from the store. Gamers first noticed the very tempting price tag. In fact, the AAA game was sold for 999 rubles, but also with a 60% discount. Lovecraft horror can be purchased for 399 rubles.
Those who bought The Sinking City began to complain about the quality. The game does not have DLC, Cloud Saves or Steam Achievements. Studio Frogwares posted a statement on Twitter, in which they noted that this was not their game and asked not to buy it.
“Frogwares did not create the Steam Sale version of The Sinking City. We do not recommend that you buy this version. Details coming soon"
This version of The Sinking City is published by Nacon. Apparently, the company posted one of the old builds for the sale and decided to earn extra money on this. Gamers are already attacking the horror film with negative reviews, noting that they have no complaints about the quality of The Sinking City or the developer. So they try to warn other players that the publisher is cheating them.
