The Sinking City has been removed from Steam... Again!!

The scandal around the Ukrainian adventure game continues to gain momentum

The recently returned to Steam adventure The Sinking City has been removed from the store again. The game was recently put up for sale at a bargain price by the publisher Nacon  without an agreement with the developers from the Ukrainian studio Frogwares. The same ones advised fans to refrain from buying and accused former partners of selling an actually pirated version of the game, which they themselves acquired on a third-party platform, and then hacked:

Neither Frogwares nor Nacon  have yet commented on the latest developments, so the official reason for the removal of the game from Steam  is still unknown this time around.

Disputes between the companies began in the middle of last year, when the developers accused the publisher of delaying payments. Nacon  responded by removing all references to the Ukrainian studio from its platforms and claiming the rights to The Sinking City belong to it. The scandal was the reason for the trial, which continues to this day. In particular, because of him, Frogwares  cannot release a free update from the console The Sinking City to the PlayStation 5 version released last month.
